FOSE 2012 Keynote Speaker Announced

FOSE is proud to welcome Senator George J. Mitchell, Former Senate Majority Leader as a keynote presenter at the 2012 show. Senator Mitchell will present “Turmoil in the Middle East: What it Means for American Security.”

mitchellGeorge J. Mitchell has also served as the U.S Special Envoy for Middle East Peace under the Obama Administration. Before this distinguished position, Mitchell began his career in the military, serving as an officer in the US Army Counter-Intelligence Corps. He practiced law in Washington DC and Maine before he was appointed the US attorney for Maine and the US District Judge for Maine. Shortly after, he was appointed to the US Senate. Senator Mitchell served in the Senate for 15 years thereafter.

In 2008, TIME magazine named Senator Mitchell one of the 100 most influential persons in the world. Senator Mitchell will serve as a joint keynote between the FOSE and GovSec programs.
